About the Band
Jet Lag Motel is a modern rock band out of San Antonio, Texas. They formed in early 2024 when Brian Salmon and Steven Jasik got in a room together and realized they'd been chasing the same sound for years without knowing it. Songs came fast. The band came faster.
Within months, they signed with SSK Records and got to work on their debut album. Their first single, "Mexico," dropped December 5, 2025, and pulled in 85,000+ YouTube plays in its first week. The momentum hasn't slowed down.
The sound is built on driving guitars, hooks that don't let go, and vocals that cut through the noise. It's rock music for people who miss when rock music hit you in the chest.
New material is in the works. Shows are rolling out across Texas. This is just the beginning.
The Band
Brian Salmon is a multi-instrumentalist who's been living on stage since he was 13, cutting his teeth on the Sunset Strip long before most kids were old enough to sneak into the clubs. He spent his teenage years between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, chasing loud amps, late nights, and the rush of live rock shows.
At UC Irvine, he formed Cellophane Flowers, a band that caught fire in the LA and Orange County scenes before pushing onto national stages. They became fixtures at legendary rooms like Whisky a Go Go, The Troubadour, and The Roxy, known for energetic shows and melodic hooks with bite.
After stepping away briefly, Brian jumped back in headfirst. Touring, collaborating, searching for the next spark. It arrived when he met Steven Jasik. The first time they played together, something clicked. Songs came fast, the chemistry was undeniable, and Jet Lag Motel was born.
Within a year, the band signed with SSK Records and began work on their debut album. Their first single dropped December 5, 2025, pulling in 85,000+ YouTube plays in its first week and gaining serious traction across streaming platforms.
Offstage, Brian brings an unexpected edge: a background in biochemistry, physiology, and radiology, plus international recognition as a published author. It's a rare mix of science, soul, and storytelling that shows up in his lyrics and his life.
At the center of it all: his wife Carisa, close friends, family, and a crew of well-loved pets. Loud guitars, good people, real connection. That's the Jet Lag Motel ethos.
Steven is a Texas-born guitarist from Devine, and the name isn't lost on anyone who's heard him play. He picked up the guitar early and never put it down. His playing is eclectic, textured, and unmistakably his own, shaped by years of experimenting across genres and never settling into one lane.
He's run through plenty of bands over the years, most notably Sleepway, which signed with King Noise Records, the label founded by Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace. That run gave him a front-row seat to the industry and sharpened his instincts as both a player and a collaborator.
Beyond the stage, Steven writes, produces, and obsesses over every detail in the studio. He's the guy who hears the thing that isn't there yet, the one pushing for one more take or tweaking a part until it locks in. That restless ear has defined his sound and made him a go-to creative partner for artists looking for something beyond the obvious.
When he and Brian Salmon first played together, it was immediately obvious they were building toward the same sound. No long conversations, no feeling each other out. Just a room, some amps, and songs that wrote themselves. Jet Lag Motel came together fast after that.
Off the clock, Steven keeps it simple. Texas roots, good food, cold beer, and guitars everywhere. One warning though: don't hand him a slide. By his own admission, it makes him play like he's never even held a guitar before.
